Our Mission & Vision

At African Angel Alliance, we envision a future where every woman in Kenya, regardless of her circumstances, thrives and contributes positively to her family and community. We are dedicated to empowering women across three crucial sectors: small business owners, dairy farmers, and mothers of wheelchair-bound children. By providing targeted small grants of approximately $500, we aim to foster economic independence, enhance dairy production efficiency, and support the unique needs of mothers with physically disabled children. Our commitment is to catalyze change, uplift lives, and build sustainable communities where women are leaders in their own right, driving progress and innovation. With God’s guidance, compassion, and project-focused support, African Angel Alliance is a beacon of hope, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and success.

Our Kenyan Partners

The African Angel Alliance places great importance on partnerships with local organizations and individuals in Kenya as a key aspect of our programming. By collaborating with local organizations, we gain access to a wealth of knowledge and resources that are already established within the community. This approach not only fosters a sense of ownership and sustainability but also ensures that the programming is relevant and impactful within the local context. These partners have sources of funding from local and international connections and organizations already in place as well as significant physical and human resources that are underutilized. Our partnership enables all resources to be utilized to the best possible advantage for women and children in Kenya.

Our Team

The African Angel Alliance, led by founders and managing directors Keith and Georgie Disselkoen and Dennis Hoekstra, plays a pivotal role in providing guidance, analysis, support, and essential connections to drive the progress of its partnerships in Kenya. A very large portion of our current programming is continuing to follow up on the legacy left by Dennis and Jeni Hoekstra and their 30 years of volunteering in Kenya. The team’s effort are bolstered by the contributions of key Kenyan staff members Rev. Dr. Ariko Ekitala and Nelson Ngige, along with a network of collaborators and scouts who actively seek out new business partners and opportunities for grant-giving. Our USA founders have combined experience of nearly 100 years working with business development in Kenya. Our Kenyan staff has decades of experience managing grass roots organizations targeting and affecting some of the most vulnerable women and children in Kenya.
