Dairy Farming
The African Angel Alliance Dairy Farming initiatives aim to capitalize on the success of the Plateau Country Dairy in Eldoret by using its surplus animals to establish new dairies, beginning with the North Rift Anglican Development in Kitale. AAA also plans to expand training programs through the Reformed Institute for Technical Training and the Bishop Muge Training Center in Kitale. The primary beneficiaries of these efforts will be smallholder dairy farms (those with 2-5 cows), nearly all of which are managed and operated by Kenyan women and their children. By leveraging excess resources and increasing training opportunities, the initiative anticipates a substantial enhancement in dairy output across all levels. This strategic approach not only supports the growth of dairy farming in Kenya but also contributes to the empowerment and development of smallholder women owners, ultimately fostering economic advancement within their families and communities.
